Homeschool parents are drowning in advice—Instagram posts, TikToks, Pinterest pins, Facebook posts, guru recommendations—but very little of it is backed by actual research. Meanwhile, valuable education research sits locked in academic journals, inaccessible to most.
That's where Homeschool Signal comes in: we provide research clarity for home educators.
If you're homeschooling (or thinking about it), you've probably asked yourself:
Every week, Homeschool Signal delivers a research brief that cuts through the noise and gives you clear, practical guidance.
Think of us as your research department—we read the studies so you don't have to, then show you exactly how to apply the findings with your kids.
Here’s some topics we’ll cover:
Our Approach
Evidence-based, not guru-based: We don't follow personalities or methodologies. We follow the research, wherever it leads.
Method-agnostic: Whether you're Charlotte Mason, classical, eclectic, or unschooling-curious, we won't tell you which approach is "right." We'll show you what the evidence says works for reading, math, and learning—and you can apply it however fits your family.
Honest about limitations: Research doesn't have all the answers. When studies conflict, we say so. When the evidence is thin, we acknowledge it. We present nuance, not oversimplification.

About the Founder
Hi, I'm Corinn,
I'm a former tech leader turned homeschool parent with a Master's degree in tech management After 10+ years making data-driven decisions in research and tech, I brought the same analytical approach to the biggest project of my life: teaching my own kiddo.
Just like I wouldn't ship a product without reviewing the data, I won't choose curriculum without reading the research.
Every week, I spend 10-15 hours reading education research papers, evaluating methodology, and synthesizing findings. Then I translate those findings into practical guidance that busy homeschool parents can actually use.
I'm not an education professor or an instagram influencer While I do have some research creds, I'm primarily a parent who believes that evidence-based guidance shouldn't be locked away in academic journals—it should be accessible to everyone raising and teaching children at home.
